This would be a 3-session discussion group offered in January. We would consider popular reactions to 9/11 through curated selections of film and music, web surfing, and readings. It would be casual, informative, and hopefully fun! Also, this is not a proselytizing forum, so leave your conspiracy politics at the door, my truther friends.

The course would be broken down thematically and chronologically as such:

1. Session 1: Jingoism/Creeping Paranoia (W. Bush term I, 2001-2004)
2. Session 2: Social/Judicial Dystopia (W. Bush term II, 2005-2009)
3. Session 3: Tempting Equilibrium (Obama term I, 2009-present)

p.s.: while we will be exploring some painfully hilarious and dreadfullly serious misrepresentations, this is meant in no way to be insulting to the memory of the victims that terrorist attack or any since... it will be a honest look at hysteria and hokum.
