in this experimental writing course, we will explore the boundaries of believability, authenticity, and the recently discovered notion of truthiness using forms like listmaking, found texts, and unreliable narrators to get at a more reliable approximation of truth. we will read texts that explore lying, integrity, and irrelevance while creating others that don't.
I will teach the basic principles and functions of the software application Reason for making music. This will also include:
strategies for compositions
demonstration of various synths and filters
mixing and mastering
Class is free of charge. If you do not own the program, I encourage you to download it. A free demo version is available on their website.
Class will take place at my apartment. Bring your laptop and the program. Will teach however many are interested.
I teach drawing for anyone interested. I will share all of my knowledge including my own methodologies, materials, productivity habits, etc. Class will focus on observational drawing and drawing from the imagination.

I can teach you how to make alterations to your clothes or how to make things from scratch, including pillow covers, robes, button-down shirts, dresses, curtains, t-shirts and many other things. I offer independent lessons for anyone with an interest in clothing, sewing, and repair. We can work out of my studio near Damen and Chicago Ave. We'll also spend time at the fabric store, I can offer advice as to what material would work best for what you are trying to make. Beginners are welcome, no experience needed!

Hone your rhetorical skills in your chosen subject and blurt over one another. Does not have to be congruent with other rhetorical language sets. Whoever is the most opaque and stupefying wins.
This class is designed for people to complain. You know how everybody frowns on it? Well here is a formal enviornment in which complaining becomes the focal point. In other words, the better you complain the better your grade.
This class will take place at my house in the evening. We will drink beer and talk about whatever.
I will tell you everything i know about who is an interesting and valuable contributor to the art worlds of Chicago.
I will give 10 minute clinics to single members of the class to help them create a strategy to engage the dysfunctional monster of this artscape.
This class would provide practical advice on how to prepare and write a professional business plan.
