Ok here's the plan - Let's do a long Saturday or Sunday workshop. Approximately 4 hours total, maybe 1.5 hours of discussion and the rest for doing the project.
I'll teach on these topics - circuits, schematics, electronic components (including how to read data sheets), how to breadboard, how to solder, and an introduction to synthesis & electronic instruments (like the solar theremin). Then we'll all put together solar theremins from the kits available on the ClockworkRobot site (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/kinetic-arts/sculpture/gallery7/1.htm).
Let's wait until after the holidays so everybody can order their kits and get back in town. I'm pretty open, what Saturday or Sundays work for you all?
