Basic electronics:
Components, schematics, power, AC and DC, signals, electrical safety, soldering, how to scrap for parts, how to put together projects from kits or schematics, more advanced topics if desired.
I have a bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University and I am an electronics hobbyist. Let's make stuff.
Ok here's the plan - Let's do a long Saturday or Sunday workshop. Approximately 4 hours total, maybe 1.5 hours of discussion and the rest for doing the project.
I'll teach on these topics - circuits, schematics, electronic components (including how to read data sheets), how to breadboard, how to solder, and an introduction to synthesis & electronic instruments (like the solar theremin). Then we'll all put together solar theremins from the kits available on the ClockworkRobot site (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/kinetic-arts/sculpture/gallery7/1.htm).
Let's wait until after the holidays so everybody can order their kits and get back in town. I'm pretty open, what Saturday or Sundays work for you all?

Well it's not really dependent on one person. You have that kit; it's a great kit. If you have a soldering iron you have everything you need to do it. Here is one of many guides available online on how to solder: http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-solder/
